CALM YOUR FUSSY, CRYING BREASTFEEDING BABY BY CHANGING YOUR DIET!

WHAT MANY NEW BREASTFEEDING MOTHERS DON’T REALIZE IS THAT A FUSSY, GASSY, COLICKY, CRYING BABY CAN BE REACTING NEGATIVELY TO THE FOODS THAT HE EATS!

THE CALM BABY COOKBOOK OUTLINES THE REASON FOR THE DISTRESS, THE FOODS TO AVOID WHEN BREASTFEEDING, ADVICE ON HOW TO GET STARTED AND OFFERS 100 DELICIOUS BREASTFEEDING RECIPES.

ABOUT THE COOKBOOK

Many newborns have difficulties adapting to our outside world, especially with breastfeeding.  New babies and moms have to learn this skill and some struggle to do so.  The most frustrating scenario for new moms is having an overly fussy baby at a time when their internal resources are low.  Many are given conflicting advice on what to do, and sadly, many give up.

The purpose of the Calm Baby Cookbook is to give another perspective for some of our fussy breastfeeding babies – some of them are reacting negatively to the foods that their moms are eating.

The Calm Baby Cookbook

  • helps new parents figure out which foods could be creating the problem
  • offers advice on how to eliminate them from your diet on a short-term basis
  • provides 100 delicious recipes to get started
  • helps you know how to re-introduce these foods back into your diet

"As a father, I wish I had this book a long time ago.  I still recall the frustration and sadness my wife and I felt as our colicky first-born suffered night after night. The feeling of failure was quite overwhelming. Dr. Melanie has done a masterful job of taking a super-stressful subject and simplifying it for all parents. If even one parent can avoid the confusion and pain that so many go through with their newborns, Dr. Melanie has made a huge contribution.

As a practicing chiropractor, I can’t wait to get this book into the hands of every one of my patients. I am constantly asked questions regarding nutrition for infants, and to have this resource in my bag of tricks will be invaluable. Thank you, Dr. Melanie for your dedication and for sharing your brilliance."

"The miracle of a newborn baby promises joy to the new parents.  After months of anticipation the tiny bundle has finally arrived.  Now there is nothing to do but feed the little one, change the odd diaper and enjoy every new achievement.  First the gurgles and smiles, then looking forward to the next milestone.  What could be more rewarding? But sometimes the little one is fussy and difficult to settle.  What to do?  What to do?  Dr. Melanie's book offers some very practical advice for helping parents cope.  With her years of experience both as a chiropractor and mother of three children she has many ideas of how to solve the problem.  Her first "Calm Baby Cookbook" included recipes of foods that would avoid a baby with an upset tummy.   This second book explains how other problems may cause a baby to be irritable for prolonged periods of time.  Dr. Melanie discusses these issues, whether caused by muscle strain, joint problems, digestive issues, allergies or food sensitivities.  This book will be a great help for the day to day "what should I try next" question.  When parents have been awake with a crying baby for several hours it is always good to have some new ideas close at hand.  This book will be a great addition to the "New Baby" library."

"When Conner was about 2 months old he started to seem uncomfortable and extremely gassy which was affecting his sleep and he was no longer the happy baby we were used to. We had been going to the chiropractor since Conner was about 6 weeks old as he was slightly out of alignment from a rushed delivery. Upon mentioning to Dr. Melanie this new change in behaviour she suggested removing certain foods from my diet to see if it made a difference for Conner since he is breastfed.
A few weeks after removing dairy from my diet he was a new baby. He was less gassy and was sleeping much better at night. He also returned to the happy baby we were used to. Every month I try dairy in hopes that he has grown out of this sensitivity but like clockwork 24 hours later he is extremely gassy and uncomfortable again."
-Allison B. Mother of 2

"I came to Dr. Melanie with concerns about my daughter’s gas pains and reflux.  Blake would cry throughout the day and the night as well.  I tried colic medicines, the bicycle pumps with her legs, different ways of positioning her and warm baths. Nothing worked.

I had heard that chiropractic adjustments could help, so I thought that I’d give it a try.  Dr. Melanie noticed tension in her spine, her stomach and suggested that I should change my diet.  It was amazing!

Within a week, Blake was a calmer and happier baby, and of course I was a happy mama as well.  Doing an elimination diet made a noticeable difference almost immediately.  Our day to day routine is much easier and less stressful on my husband and myself.

The Calm Baby Cookbook has wonderful recipes that are a great help."
